Avalanche Studios, original creators and developers of the award-winning Just Cause franchise, is looking for a Lead Level Designer with AAA console action-game experience for one of our latest action game projects, based on a well known license. Working under the direction of the Game Director, the Lead Level Designer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the level design team. Responsibilities . Work in close collaboration with the game director to ensure levels support the gameplay and narrative requirements of the game. . Manage the daily work of the level design team in executing on high-quality layouts and combat encounters. . Provide regular, ongoing feedback to individual level designers, guiding them in the development of layouts and encounters. . Drive workflow and process improvements to ensure the level design team is empowered and productive . Work with the campaign team and associate producers to help plan and organize the efforts of the Level Design team. Requirements . 5+ years of experience as a level designer, including production work on at least two shipped triple-A console action games . Experience as a team leader, mentoring and providing feedback to level designers is a must . Excellent communication and possess a positive can-do attitude . Ability to design and build level and encounter design using proprietary tools . Good verbal and written communication skills .
