Faiveley Transport Nordic AB (FTN), part of Wabtec Corporation is a systems supplier to the international rail industry.
In the role as a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at FTN, you work with development and customization of our block brakes. As FTN is the Center of Competence within the group, you will get to work on new train projects around the world, where you will take part in the entire process - from start to finish.

The position is full-time, located in Landskrona, where you are part of a team of 16 people.

Responsibilities
• Review relevant specifications.
• Lead discussions with the end-customer regarding design and performance.
• Define a product configuration that matches the customer’s expectations.
• A certain amount of development work, calculations and documentation are also included in the responsibilities for this position.
• For major modifications, you support in defining validation tests together with our on-site laboratory and other laboratories around the world, as well as reviewing the test results.

Your profile
• Master of Science in Engineering, with several years of industrial experience in mechanical design and calculation.
• You bring knowledge and experience of 3D-CAD.
• You contribute with your experience in project management.
• You have experience in extensive contact with customers and can handle issues and drive discussions with customers, suppliers, and partners.
• You are passionate about technology and are just as comfortable in front of the computer as you are 'hands-on' in our test lab and well-equipped mechanical workshop.

Good to have:
• Knowledge and experience in CATIA, Team center and M3
• Experience from the railway industry
