We are now looking for our next Lead Mechanical Engineer to our operations in Gothenburg. Could that be you? Through your expertise, the Lead Mechanical Engineer will lead and manage Mechanical design work in projects for the construction of chemical plants.
In your future role as Lead Mechanical Engineer you will
lead the mechanical design work of new chlorine dioxide plants and rebuilds of existing equipment. You are planning the work with Nouryon personnel and consultants related to pressure vessels, mechanical equipment, piping and structural steel. You also have an important role in the communication with other disciplines such as purchasing, process, process control, electrical and project administration.
You will work closely with the project manager in our delivery project, but also give technical support to our project sales organization and spare part sales. You are reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Other important duties are:
Plan the resources together with the Engineering Manager and Project Manager
Ensure that the design meets requirements by law, standards, and the project contract
Responsible for communication with other disciplines to find optimal solutions in projects
Carry out expediting and audits at our key suppliers
Support our customers during start-up, operation, and annual shutdown for troubleshooting/inspection
Provide input to cost estimates, time schedules and technical documents in the Sales phase for the Mechanical discipline
Constantly improve our products and way of working
We believe you bring
University degree, Mechanical institute. Extended work experience from relevant field
Experience from investment projects in the industry sector
Experience with pressure vessels, tanks, pumps and piping systems and related standards.
Knowledge in Engineering tools such as MSExcel, AutodCad, PDMS
Good level of Swedish and English, written and spoken

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to Stefan Bergström, Manager Engineering -Eka Engineering & Support and based in Gothenburg.
