Job brief

We are looking for a candidate that takes responsibility in the process development work of our different technologies thru upscaling from pilot test trials to engineering of full-scale plants. The successful candidate will be a part of our cross-functional engineering team in Gothenburg.

Work tasks will mainly include engineering project management, mechanical P&ID work, plant layout and 3D design, specifications of piping and equipment design, and vendor contacts. The successful candidate will in addition to being a mechanical expertise develop the mechanical part of our engineering tool (COMOS). We also believe the candidate is a team player with respect for deadlines, like to feel ownership of problem-solving tasks as well as projects, and with a great interest in learning new things.

Most of the time will be spent in Gothenburg but will in the future involve traveling both national and international to our offices as well as being briefly located at the future sites as a part of a plant start-up team. The future traveling is today expected to be domestic and internationally located in the northern part of Europe.

Main Responsibilities


• Lead and be a part of basic- and detail engineering, construction, commissioning, and plant start-up phases of new plants.
• Defining the specification of mechanical equipment and piping design.  
• Take lead in the setup and development of the mechanical part of our engineering tool (COMOS)
• Coordinate mechanical discipline work performed by consultants to ensure right execution and delivery within time during different project phases
• Through design reviews ensure that the design meets requirements by standard, contract, and law
• Support budget and project cost estimates to management in cooperation with our cross-functional engineering team

Requirements


• You can work with structure, both independently and in a cross-functional team
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering and good knowledge of related disciplines
• You are a team player, but you are also capable of working and come to results on your own.
• Physically capable of field work and site walk in an operating chemical plant that handles hazardous chemicals
• Can document the development process progress in an organized manner
• Can handle confidential information

Education & Experience Requirements

Higher level of education within Mechanical Engineering or similar.                                                                                                         

At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in an engineering environment. You need to have experience from either chemical, petrochemical, pulp & paper or the mining industries.

Knowledge of EN codes, pump codes and PED.

Good knowledge of using MS Office package, AutoCAD or equivalent.

It is of benefit if you have experience of:


• Design work by engineering tool systems such as Comos or Aveva.
• E3D or equivalent modelling softwares
• Piping experience
• Module based engineering thru any engineering tool system
• Market vendor contacts of pumps, filters, reactors, agitators, scrubbers, and mixer-settlers.
• Site supervision, field work and installation
• Filtration of ashes, phosphorus, hydroxides & heavy metals.
• Reaction and precipitation processes of ashes, phosphorus, hydroxides & heavy metals.

EasyMining Sweden AB has been a company in the Ragn-Sells group since 2014. Ragn-Sells is a Swedish waste and recycling company operating in 5 countries with an annual turnover of above 640 M€ and approximately 2900 employees.

EasyMining is today employing 28 persons that is planned to grow to 32 during 2021. The engineering and management are located in an office in central Gothenburg, the R&D and Market are situated with office and laboratory facilities in Uppsala, and our German office is located in Berlin.
