Nordax Bank is a leading specialist bank in the Nordic region providing private loans and deposit accounts to about 300 000 customers in mainly Sweden, Norway and Finland. Nordax also offers mortgages in Sweden and Norway and deposit in Germany as well as the Netherlands. Nordax employs about 300 people, all working in one office in Stockholm, in Torsplan. The company has an entrepreneurial spirit and a flexible way of working. In November 2021, Nordax completed the acquisition of Bank Norwegian, doubling its portfolio and adding credit cards to the product repertoire.
We are currently looking for a Lead NPL Analyst who wants to help Nordax raise the bar within quantitative analytics!

The Credit Risk & Analytics department at Nordax consists of five teams: Analytics, Credit Risk Engine & Credit Risk Specialists, Data Engineering and Anti-Financial Crime. The role as Lead NPL Analyst is part of the analytics team which consists of 12 people who work together to create profitable growth and sales. You will get a unique opportunity to see the banking process end-to-end, gaining invaluable insights into the inner workings of a niche banking environment.
As an analyst, you will have a dynamic role with focus on quantitative credit risk analysis, where you will be an important support to the business in the form of statistical analysis. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for translating regulatory NPL-related requirements and guidelines into synthesis and action plans
- Driver of implementation across the organization for NPL related activities (e.g., update instructions, set requirements for other departments etc.)
- Lead analyst for NPL portfolio and NPL related activities (e.g., ECL stage 3 development, forbearance, collection measures etc.)
- Main developer of NPL strategy and NPE assessment, together with multiple stakeholders within and outside CR&A
- Closely working with IFRS9 team, the rest of the Analytics team, Collections department and Director of CR&A
- Reports to Head of Analytics
Key requirements
- High intellectual requirements
- Broad role from regulations to modelling, in a high visibility field
- Experience from EBA regulations
- Comfort in synthesizing legal texts (with help of others), and translating the synthesis into action (independently)
- Ability to synthesize data to conclusions, and communicate these to various levels of the organization
- Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as engineering, economics, statistics or similar
- Very good knowledge of SAS/SQL is required
- English is required, Swedish preferred
