Perstorp is determined to drive the transformation of the chemical industry towards climate neutrality. Project Air is one important project in realizing this ambition, making sustainable production methods possible and enabling green chemicals within a large variety of industries and end products. The project aims to produce sustainable methanol from captured carbon dioxide and other residue streams. This is accomplished by building the world's largest Carbon Capture and Utilization Unit at our site in Stenungsund.

Job description
As Process Lead Engineer you will work with Project Air in Stenungsund to lead your technical discipline and secure the execution of quality and delivery within the project. With your expertise you coach and guide the team through the engineering stage of the project. In the future you will work globally within GTI (Global Technology and Investment) to provide know-how in investment projects, technical networks, as well as in activities aimed at stabilizing and optimizing plant performance at the different production sites in the Perstorp Group.

Responsibilities include
Lead process engineering design in technical investments and activities
Prepare justification, investment objectives and other documents required for approval.
Develop deliverables within the process discipline in a spectra from early design phase to detail design, always meeting inherent design practices.
Develop, as well as review, engineering studies, design drawings, technical equipment specifications and documents to procure equipment and services.
Provide assistance during installation, commissioning, and startup of multiple projects.
Support our continuous work developing our process discipline technical standards, network and share best practices
The role includes a decision-making authority within the context of budget and priorities agreed with your manager and full authority to stop any unsafe act or process that could harm individual or environment.
Qualifications
You have a process-oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills. Used to taking a leading role and comfortable taking responsibilities in your area of expertise. Able to travel and see it as a positive attribute in your professional role.
Master’s degree within chemical engineering discipline or similar
Previous experience as lead engineer in the process discipline
Demonstrated experience in the process industry and has overall expertise in chemical engineering technologies
Experience of working in EPCM-contracts
Experience with application of international codes and standards
Highly structured in documentation of performed technical activities/projects and excellent writing skills
Good proficiency in English language
