The Strategy, Communication& Digital Transformation function is instrumental in creating meaningful, relatable, and actionable connections to our transformation, by developing and orchestrating the Digital & IT strategic direction, the digital transformation, and the change journey ahead of us.

This is how you could make an impact


As Lead Project Manager, you will be managing strategic initiatives with high impact on the Volvo Group digital transformation. You will be working in close collaboration with various organizations and executive teams across the Volvo Group.


You will be a member of the Digital & IT Special Projects team within the Strategy, Communication and Digital Transformation function, reporting to the Head of Special Projects. These will be some of your responsibilities:
Deliver value to stakeholders in the constantly changing business by encouraging agile ways of working like the ability to define needs and split a large delivery into small consecutive releases.
Always seek the answer to the question Why? Ensure there is business value at the end.
Set up a team, propose governance structure, and select delivery method and tools to the context of the initiative.
Ensure that the team delivers in accordance with the Key Performance Indicators defined for the chosen delivery method.
Actively contribute to creation or improvements in project management methods, tools and guidelines and be able to perform project reviews or audits.
Plan and manage activities related to Change Management, communication, organizational changes, competence and training requirements.
Advise and lead others by offering deep expertise in the Project Management area and collaborate across disciplines with experts in other areas.
Act as a mentor and servant leader to colleagues and share experiences.

Who are you?


We believe that you thrive to become a key player in the Volvo Group digital transformation, while working with amazing people around the world.
You have a university degree or equivalent and several years of experience in driving large projects/ programs across organizations and geographies.
You are a savvy communicator, with hands-on approach, capable of switching between strategic thinking and operational creating.
You have a good understanding of digital transformation, and the value digital creates for the enterprise.
You can simplify complex concepts, problems, and solutions, and visualize them in an executive-level format.
You excel in managing stakeholders on various seniority levels, both within Digital & IT and the business, to drive expected outcomes.
Previous experience in management/ technology consulting is a merit.
