We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a Lead Software Engineer with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Main tasks for the candidate include:
Contribute to the migration of a data warehouse and associated BI dashboards and reports from an on-premises server to AWS' cloud platform.
In an agile development team, I worked on data migration of a Kimball-based data model, its sourcing processes, and historical data.
Best practises are followed, for example, in documentation, testing, and quality assurance.
Implementation of robust, performant, and scalable solutions for handling large amounts of data
Contributing via an agile development team, ensuring proactivity, and effective communication with stakeholders and other developers
The migration project is well underway, and it includes:
SQL Server ETL solutions (stored procedures, SSIS) and the occasional command, R, or Python script
SQL Server data warehouse with multiple databases and data models, including historical data.
QlikView apps, dashboards, and server-side views will be migrated into a three-tier PowerBI solution.
SAP Business Objects universes and a large number of reports used by a variety of business stakeholders should be migrated to source cloud data from Redshift.
Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:
Competency prerequisites for the applicant:
A bachelor's degree in the relevant field
Many years of experience working as a developer or data engineer
Data warehousing expertise (normalised data models, slowly changing dimensions, ETL processes, etc.) in a SQL Server environment is required.
SQL expertise is required.
Data model design, stored procedures, and ETL process development experience (Airflow + Python is a plus)
Working knowledge of AWS Redshift and Airflow
Extensive knowledge of complex data project deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and document management
Working in governed production environments with version control tools, preferably Git, ensuring documentation throughout the product lifecycle, and other best practises is preferred.
Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, SAP Business Objects, and QlikView is preferred.
Working with and designing solutions for large data volumes – millions or 100 million observations per day
We believe that you are proactive, self-starting, and take ownership in order to succeed in this role.
You are structured, analytical, and thorough in your work to handle a migration of a large and complex solution nearing the end of its lifecycle.

It would be ideal if the consultant possessed:
Extensive knowledge of cloud service providers and relevant microservices
AWS and Redshift expertise, as well as AWS certification
Knowledge of the programming languages R and Python, as well as.net
Knowledge of trading data such as trades, orders, and quotes
A solid grasp of statistical analysis and advanced analytics
Experience with Agile software development methodologies such as SCRUM is advantageous.
