What you'll do
As a Lead System Designer at Customized Bioprocess Solutions (CBS) you will be working primarily on customer projects as part of a project team consisting of 8 to10 people from different subject areas. You will have responsibility for the functionality and quality of the customized bioprocess product, including specifications, component & equipment selection and regulatory compliance.
As Lead System Designer your daily activities are to work closely with the other design fields (Mechanical, Automation and Electrical design) to ensure that all customer requirements are gathered and implemented into the product. At the end of the project the customer will perform an acceptance test of the equipment at our facility where you will represent the design team and support the customer with technical knowledge.
Our customers are located worldwide and a few business trips per year may be required as well as some early or late conference calls depending on projects and region. A typical CBS project is approximately 5-8 months.
Areas of Responsibilities
Read customer specifications and translate this into specifications and designs
Perform design reviews internally and externally with the customer
Coordinate design activities between functions (Mechanical, Electrical and Automation design)
Ensure regulatory compliance of your products
Act as a support function for manufacturing and Verification
Who you are
This position requires an MSc or BSc in Engineering, Physics or Biotechnology focus, or equivalent knowledge
You need to be proficient in English written and oral. Swedish skills is an advantage.
You have several years of previous detail experience within product development or process development with a strong technical interest.
It is desirable if you also have project management skills and previous experience from regulatory controlled environments
As a person you enjoy working in smaller teams and you have excellent communicative skills.
You are quality focused preferably with experiences from CAPA investigations (Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions) or technical investigations and reports.
