Lead Systems Design Engineer

Northvolt has an exciting job possibility for a Lead System Design Engineer.
You will be given the opportunity to join us in building one of the first large scale European battery factories, playing an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society. You will be part of a team whose task is developing software solutions and new technologies required for the building of successive future factories.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Participate in design workshops internally and with external suppliers
Participate in R&D activities
Participate in education and knowledge transfer workshops
Cost estimations for projects and change requests. Provide input for quoting and planning works
Definition of software (including controls) coding standards and configuration management requirements
Code review and test of other’s work as well as improving and defining code review practices

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
Degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computing, Industrial Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering or similar.
5+ years of experience
5+ years in design and development experience
Passionate by solving complex problems with technology in a simple yet innovative way
Track-record of successful implementation of advanced automation systems in relevant industries
Experience in tension control is a plus
Must have worked in a multi-cultural environment
