Lead Technical Engineer - Substation Projects
As a lead engineer in you are responsible for the technical management, conception and coordination in switchgear projects. Focus will be mainly switchgear applications and its requirements. You develop solutions with customers and internal and external partners and implement them in project teams. You are also responsible for the budgets and schedule for your projects.
Your responsibilities:
Lead, supervise and coordinate/delegate all engineering team and sub-suppliers in order to secure the integrity, completeness and correct function of the substation system - drive execution excellence.
Coordinate and interact directly with clients and engineer regarding technical issues and technical interfaces.
In tender phase develop technical concept and contribute to supplier setup. Provide technical queries to client and tender documentation, list of deviations and as well as estimation of engineering cost and BOQ for material.
Take budget responsibility where design and technical solution is driving cost. Strive for optimization.
Provide technical inputs and applicable specifications for purchase orders. Review technical purchase specifications.
Give input and recommendation to project management and supply chain for selection and contracting of suppliers and sub-contractors, declare release for production for external content.
Give input to scheduler for project planning related to engineering, suppliers, document schedule, and required document approvals, take responsibility for on-time delivery of complete scope.
Prepare Inspection and Test plan including definition of test procedures, attend FAT where required.
Act as technical expert.
Your background:
· Degree in electrical engineering (Dipl. / Master).
· Several years of professional experience.
· Knowledge of switchgear technology.
· High communication skills that make it easy for you to interact with customers and suppliers.
· English fluently oral and written.
· Ready for travel.
