Volvo Cars is on an ambitious journey to redefine how our employees work together to change the future, and how we share that story with the world. The Lead UX designer - Commercial Data will focus on turning customer insights into beautifully designed, impactful business solutions. Volvo Cars is looking to redefine all aspects of its ecosystem - from the vehicle itself, to how it is owned, driven, powered and purchased online. You will work with teams across the company to set the vision and strategy for how customers' unique account information is handled in a safe and secure way. Your role is critical to ensuring a seamless and personalised customer experience across Volvo’s digital landscape. You will inspire through prototyping and storytelling to ensure the final work has maximum impact for the customer experiences. You will design interactions and define how intuitively is the information submitted, managed, and what parts get shared across Volvo's digital portfolio of products, so each experience can feel personal and tailored to the individual.

As Commercial Data Lead UX Designer, you will deliver product strategies and high-level designs based on customer insights and business needs. This includes delivering key design artifacts such as user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that balance design aesthetics with intuitive functionality in collaboration with other designers. You get to develop a deep understanding of our customer needs and pain-points, serving as an expert for your product team and develop ideas for new and enhanced features.

We believe that you are a person who has been responsible for end-to-end delivery of several large, multifaceted design projects for large consumer focused tech companies with global reach and thousands of users. As a result of this experience, you understand what it takes to create elegant, consumer-oriented experiences. You are a versatile designer who uses a full range of skills—product design, interaction design, service design, and visual design — to ensure you deliver magical experiences. You are a strategic thinker and look for ways to simplify experiences for the customer across a broad spectrum of touchpoints. Your are a strong communicator who can inspire teams towards action and empathy for the user. You are a great collaborator who can work with not only design patterns, but many other stakeholders from product to engineering. You have a people-focused design mentality.

Above all you are an internal thought-leader on user experience best practices and trends, but you have strong UX fundamentals and are also willing to work in a hands-on way, constantly looking to hone your design skills and instinct through user feedback, whether that is hands-on user research or a quantitative A/B test. You should have a portfolio or work be otherwise able to share your way of working and results with us.

Experience with customer data would be a plus.
