Who are we?
Volvo Cars’ continued success is the result of a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive working environment. The people of Volvo Cars are committed to making a difference in our world. Today, we are one of the most well-known and respected car brands, with over 40,000 employees across the globe. We believe in bringing out the best in each other and harnessing the true power of people. At Volvo Cars your career is designed around your talents and aspirations so you can reach your full potential. Join us on a journey of a lifetime as we create safety, autonomous driving and electrification technologies of tomorrow.
We are now seeking a Lead UX Designer, Product Offer and Pricing to join the Retail Systems team within the UX Organization.
Why now?
Volvo Cars is on an ambitious journey to redefine what it means to own a vehicle during a time of rapid change in the transport industry. Volvo Cars is looking to redefine all aspects of the car ecosystem including mobility solutions, autonomous driving, vehicle electrification, sustainability, and digital purchases and engagement.
User Experience as a discipline is a key part of Volvo Cars' strategy and the UX organization gathers insights about our users, and redefines and elevates their experience of Volvo's products and services.
What you'll do
In a new role on a new team, the Lead UX Designer for Product Offer & Pricing on the Retail Systems UX team will redefine what it means to buy a car online as well as how systems that support customers in their ownership experience are designed and used. You'll be part of elevating user experience in collaboration with stakeholders in product and engineering.
You'll help the team see the entire retail landscape of the Volvo Product Catalog (cars, accessories, services, and digital goods) and create buying and full-lifecycle experiences for customers that are simple, seamless, and thoughtful.
You'll increase long-term customer engagement by using insights from users' data to personalize their buying experiences and ensure that they are informed and confident in the process. You'll also increase customer satisfaction and retention by working to create a buying experience that is as smooth and delightful as the ownership experience. You'll advocate for the customer and exceptional design with a high level of craft.

Who you are
We believe that you are a person who thinks big at the system level and has worked extensively using insights from data to inform and personalize user experience in internal systems and customer-facing retail, whether that's in automotive or in another data-rich industry like banking/fintech, health and medical, on-demand services, or logistics companies in which shoppers both shop online and in brick-and-mortar stores and continue to deepen their relationship with the brand post-purchase. You are familiar with working with internal tools and enterprise applications during the customer’s purchasing journey.
We are looking for someone who has the following qualities:
* You’ve been in UX Design for six or years for consumer-focused technology, so you understand all aspects of product architecture, interaction and visual design, and UX research. You’re a strong communicator and collaborator with design partners, and other stakeholders from teams such as product, operations, and engineering.
* Strong UX fundamentals and user-centered design practices.
* Data modelling experience within UX, including architectural planning for complex systems.
* The ability to create a logical, consistent, and elegant structure from messy complexity, and to transition to a scalable set of global systems.
* Experience working with mature design systems.
* Two or more years of project leadership involving three or more complex projects.
* A portfolio (or work samples) of relevant past projects.
