Lead Vehicle Integration Engineer
Koenigsegg Automotive builds some of the fastest cars in the world, with almost all of our megacar technologies patented and made in-house. Within this brand, we have launched a stealth startup team to redefine the future of mobility. We are on a universe-denting mission, moving beyond exclusive low-volume models. WHAT YOU’LL DO
We need more exceptional, impactful, and authentic leaders to build our prototypes and grow our organization. Our ambitions and deadlines push the limits of what is physically possible. Create, analyze, and track performance criteria for entire autonomous electric vehicle architecture
Track specifications and performance of designs, especially regarding safety, NVH, durability, vehicle dynamics to synthesize robust architecture
Provide leadership to engineering teams in solving the most complex problems, following the solutions through implementation and new product design.
Perform concept vehicle design and development
Balance functions, efficiencies, cost, weight, ergonomics, manufacturability, and ultimately customer experience against strict timelines
Create and test prototype vehicles
Support CAD and CAE studies, often doing these yourself on a scrappy startup team
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
B.S. in an Engineering discipline OR equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability
Excellent communication skills, in both verbal and written English
Deep understanding of autonomous and automotive engineering fundamentals (heat transfer, fluids, statics, dynamics, structural design)
Significant experience designing and building mechanical and electrical assemblies.
Proficiency using 3D mechanical design and analysis tools (CATIA, COMSOL, ANSYS Icepak, StarCCM).
Experience using GD&T to control part features
Experience using CATIA V5 and/or V6.
Experience with PLM systems, engineering changes, deviations, BOM structuring, etc.
Experience with environmental, reliability, safety, and industry standard requirements for automotive, industrial & residential products.
Experience with high volume manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, diecast, etc.
Knowledge of design for reliability and design for manufacturability concepts.
Working knowledge of Matlab and/or Python.
