Lead Wiring Engineer

Position Description
We are now looking for awiring engineerto our electrical team within the Customer Quality Experience (CQE) department.


Be a part of a team that solves systematic quality issues within the electrical area at Volvo Buses. Once the team has been assigned a problem the work starts to really understand that specific system/component and what has been reported, finding the root cause and later doing the necessary changes (system/component/installation redesign etc.) to be able to finally implement a solution for the customers.


For the team to be effective various competences is needed - analyzing data, in design and in testing for both hardware and software (CAD/installation, wiring, function development, system architecture). And to be able to break down problems to what really matters.


The position
The work includes designing and developing virtual harness models, creating specifications and 2D drawings, following standards and guidelines, doing 3D installation and routing connecting the electrical components together, coordinating the work with suppliers and making sure that the end product is top quality both from an electrical and mechanical point of view.


Further, you will lead and drive the development of the harnesses within the responsibility of the team. You will perform investigations and verification related to the performance of the electrical system.

We need team players that are sociable, motivated and possess the ability to multitask as you will be working on several topics simultaneously and will communicate with several parts of the company on a regular basis.


Required Skills
Technical education from a university in electrical/mechanical/mechatronics
Experience in the automotive industry
Experience in Saber, both mechanical and electrical workbench
Experience in Catia V5
Good English skills both verbally and in writing



Preferred Skills/Experiences
Knowledge in KOLA
Experience in Jira and Confluence
Understanding in FMEA principles
Volvo systems and way or working
