Swedwood Group founded in 1991 is an industrial group within and wholly owned by IKEA.Swedwood's primary task is to ensure production capacity for IKEA.This is accomplished by establishing and operating sawmills component and furniture production units strategically located relative markets and/or raw materials supply.Swedwood has about 40 production units and offices in three continents and has some 15 000 employees.Swedwood International AB is the management company of the Swedwood Group and located in Ängelholm, Sweden.Lean Production Navigators Swedwood has started a transformation program to accelerate the implementation of the lean production concept Swedwood Way Of Production.The program is planned to be rolled out across Group organisation where best practices in performance management, operations and way of working will be implemented on the shop floor as well as in the rest of the organisation.The program is driven by a group of change agents in collaboration with management team, shop floor personnel and support functions.To the Group and Business Sector Flatline and Solid Wood with different locations we look for Lean Production Navigators. About the job Your responsibility will be to lead and drive transformation processes in a local factory for a period of at least four months.You will lead demanding projects in our sites across the network and help designing and implementing future operations in Swedwood factories.After a 4-12 months period you will be the expert that drives transformation projects aiming at implementing the best practices principles and improving performance in our factories.This involves: -To drive shop floor transformation -To train operators and managers in transformation approaches, tools and standards -To implement necessary support structures to ensure sustainability e.g.performance management and organisation -To coach and challenge senior operational managers in a demanding change process The position is organised at one Business Sector or on central Group level and will require a great amount of travelling.After appr.1,5 years in this position you and other Navigators can be in a pool for recruitment of Plant Managers. Your background To apply, you should have experience of manufacturing/supply chain with lean projects and/or leadership positions within a factory e.g.production manager alternatively project manager/consultant with strong interest in operations.Experiences from wood industry or other process industry is a merit.You have an education base at B.Sc level or equivalent. As individual you have good leadership skills, are a good communicator, have a high drive, perseverance and analytical skills and have an interest and drive for future career development.A good command of English is essential.Skills in German, Russian or a Slavic language are a plus.
