Volvo Car Service Business (VCSB) is a unit within Volvo cars, which is responsible for the worldwide aftermarket business, the development and distribution of spare parts, service and repair methods and accessory range. Our ambition is to be the preferred supplier of parts and service to our dealers and customers and thereby actively contribute to creating the best car ownership experience for the customer.
What you’ll do
As a Learning and development specialist, you will co-create various learning prototype programmes i.e. customer service process, technical skills development, customer communication, service management, spare part management etc. You will be able to execute a high-level or pilot implementation of your designs which eventually will be rolled out to a global audience or learner group.
Daily tasks can typically involve the following;
• Create and develop various learning programs using appropriate design methodologies.
• Analyse and understand the customer service business needs and objectives in order to translate this into an appropriate and timely training intervention.
• Interpret the outputs of a Training Needs Analysis to recommend suitable learning intervention for global deployment.
• Identify the impact required through the recommended learning and training intervention.
• Design tailored train-the-trainer interventions relevant to business need, audience, timing and specific market requirements.
• Keep up to date with different learning methods, frameworks and tools i.e. virtual classroom, simulations, articulate 360, Blooms taxonomy, Addie etc.
You and your skills
To be successful in this role you need to have experience in program design, both digital and instructor led. A working knowledge of learning performance models with a firm understanding of how effectiveness of learning can be measured. Kirkpatrick and 702010 are good examples of such models.
Project management and implementation experience will be a distinct advantage.
Competence and experience are important, but personality is key! We are looking for a team player with a positive mindset and a personal drive. You need to be passionate and engaged, inspiring people around you and have great communication skills.
