In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

What you’ll do
Based on analysis and scenarios of the future skills needs, you will support the business to identify gaps and opportunities and develop solid plans for how, and where, to acquire, upskill and re-skill talent to secure business critical competencies. * Establish and maintain processes to measure and track employee competencies, analyze data, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
* Drive a culture of continuous learning and competency improvement across the organization, and keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
* Lead the Community of Practice and represent Competence Development in internal and external forums.

What you’ll bring
We believe you have a university degree in a relevant field combined with several years of relevant professional experience, specifically within the Learning & Development space.

To succeed in this role, we believe you also have:
* Proven experience as an L&D Business Partner or a related role in a large organization.
* Experience in effectively partnering with business leaders to develop L&D strategies.
* Good business understanding and the ability to understand and align L&D with organizational objectives.
* Comprehensive project management skills to develop complex L&D initiatives and designing and overseeing performance improvement programs.
* Knowledge of learning technologies and the ability to leverage them for business impact.
* Proven experience in analyzing data and metrics to evaluate the impact of L&D initiatives.
* An ability to align L&D with organizational objectives and deliver results that positively impact the business.

Who you are
We are looking for you with a continuous improvement mindset together with great communication skills. You are comfortable collaborating across teams and demonstrate courage and stakeholder management skills across cultures together with global teams. Proficiency in data analysis and a data-driven approach to decision-making is valued where you can also not only analyze an intimidating spreadsheet of numbers but can tap into the underlying story.

You have a clear business understanding and are experienced in leading workshops, discussions, and other events. In this role, you will be part of a great team and contribute to the transformation of the company and change within learning therefore your ability to work within a changing environment will be of importance.
