Avalanche Studios Group is now looking for a talented Legal Counsel with a passion for video games! As a vital part of our small legal team, you’ll report to the CEO and work on a wide variety of tasks across the entire company group, including ensuring compliance with legislation, both in Sweden and abroad. Furthermore, you are responsible for assisting the different departments with legal advice and drafting, administering, and negotiating contracts. Working from our Stockholm location, you’ll partner with Company management, Finance, Human Resources, IT, and our game teams.

Responsibilities

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts - often with a great deal of underlying technical complexity.
- Advise internal stakeholders on a wide variety of legal matters.
- Review company policies and internal procedures to improve efficiency and compliance
- Prepare and draft internal legal documents, such as employment and contractor agreements or GDPR documentation.


Requirements

- Swedish law degree (jur. kand.)
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably with a focus towards GDPR, corporate and tax law, intellectual property rights and commercial agreements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English.
- An interest in the video game industry or in video games.


To succeed as Legal Counsel, you need to work efficiently with all of our departments to create the best legal solutions and advice. Avalanche Studios Group is fast-growing, and therefore it is important that you can establish routines in line with the greater organizational needs of the company group. The ideal candidate is able to change routines and work patterns based on organizational development. You must also be comfortable finding compromises to legal issues and have a strong sense of the business aspect when providing legal advice.

You will work together with our other Legal Counsel with whom you will form the Legal Team. Since you will be working in a small team, you will be able to partly create a role that works best in accordance with your expertise and preferences.
