Legal Counsel

Job description

You will be responsible for supporting the business by providing advice on a variety of matters as well as drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts. Responsibilities for the position include e g:
- Drafting official documents issued by the company.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements and all other legal documents related to the company?s activity.
- Providing legal training to other departments.
- Support for public tenders.
- Ensuring the legal compliance of the company?s activity.
- Monitoring and ensuring the compliance with the company?s internal policy related to legal issues.
- Dealing with corporate issues.
- Maintaining the relationship with the official authorities and obtaining the necessary certificates.
- Support the HR Department with respect to labor law issues.
- Providing overall legal support and consultancy to different departments of the company.
- Co-coordinating with external law firms and liaising with customers in the preparation, negotiation and completion of all legal documentation with respect to all legal practice areas such as e g telecom law, IPR law, IT law, contract law, company law, criminal law, employment law, immigration law and EU law.
- Legal transaction support to other European platforms will also be required as needed.

Qualifications we see as necessary for this position are:
- At least 3 years of experience as Legal Counsel in a national/international company or law firms.
- A minimum of Bachelor degree in Law .
- Having experience on commercial contracts, IPR and labor law issues are preferable.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills together with a strong commercial sense required.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and fluency in English and Swedish, Danish or Norwegian.
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office System and Lotus Notes.
- Optimistic, patient and good skills of communication.
- Available for frequent business trips.

Organization
The Legal Counsel will work within our Sweden office, supporting Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland,Lithuania, Latvia,Estonia. Place of this Legal Counsel position is Stockholm, Sweden. Reporting lines are in matrix to our Regional Legal Director and to the CEO of Huawei Sweden.
