Do you want to work in close partnership with technical and commercial colleagues to achieve business objectives?As a Legal Counsel within the Development & Engineering platform of the corporate Legal and Tax function, you will be a member of our dynamic legal and intellectual property rights team.You will have the ability to perform a variety of matters in an international environment and to understand the business impact of competition law, food and product safety legislation and intellectual property rights decisions.
Legal and Tax consists of a team of in-house legal counsel, tax experts, patent and trademark attorneys closely integrated into the business.We operate globally with the support of external advisors.We provide broad legal support to the business unit Development & Engineering (D&E) in close cooperation with the legal teams supporting other parts of the business (commercial, sales, supply chain).
As Legal Counsel your tasks/responsibilities are:
Drafting development and research contracts and assisting D&E in the negotiation, implementation and termination of such contracts
Advising on food and product safety issues in packaging systems,
Advising on key issues and decisions which arise in the course of the product creation and product life-cycle processes (protection of innovation via IPR, contracts, confidentiality, competition law aspects, food and product safety questions)
Training and enabling D&E project managers in IPR, contracts and competition law issues,
Creating, improving and launching template agreements, checklists & other tools
Supervising external legal counsel (in case for expert advice, or litigation)
Close teamwork and coordination within D&E Legal &Tax
Kvalifikationer
To be successful in this role you are a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years experience either in-house in an international environment, or with a law firm in the above areas, preferably with some experience in food and product safety (including product liability), and intellectual property rights.
You are an effective communicator, a good negotiator, and work comfortably and effectively at different levels and in diverse cultures.You are comfortable using informal authority and interpersonal skills when interacting both within and outside of your own unit.The candidate we are looking for possess a very good command of English, both written and spoken.The ability to be a self-starter and to work proactively, in a team-oriented way, together with a service minded approach, will be very useful.
