Legal Counsel

We are looking for an Associate Legal Counsel, co-located at our headquarters in Mölndal, which together with the General Counsel of the Astra Tech Group will handle the company's legal affairs.Legal department is a staff function directly under the CEO.The legal department has a natural and close link to the management team and the other functions at headquarters, as well as the company's subsidiaries around the world.DESCRIPTION As an Associate Legal Counsel you will be responsible for providing legal services and counsel to functional or operational managers within the Astra Tech Group to ensure that their current or future activities, policies, business practices and transactions comply with all relevant laws, regulations and company policies.More specifically, the responsibilities will include, among others, compliance related tasks, contract management, and training of the company's employees in legal matters.The role as Associate Legal Counsel also includes developing the company's best practice projects in areas such as compliance, data privacy, contract law, marketing law and intellectual property.QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a person with 2-3 years experience from business law matters (either as a private practice lawyer or as in-house counsel), who will have legal knowledge in contract law, marketing law and intellectual property law.The Associate Legal Counsel should be able to manage a high workload and quickly meet clients demands with a high degree of independence, using good judgment, discretion, pragmatism, prioritization and commercial thinking.A successful candidate is business and service minded, flexible, dynamic and solution orientated as well as have good social skills.Excellent written and oral knowledge in the English and Swedish languages are a necessity.Kindly send your application online as soon as possible, but no later than 18 February 2009, via http://www.astratech.se.
