Legal Counsel

About the role
As our Legal Counsel you will be leading our in-house legal team in Stockholm, Sweden. You will have a varied legal and corporate skill set, including a business and financial acumen. You are proficient in legal research and have hands-on experience in commercial law, contract drafting, analysing and negotiating.

This is a broad role where you should be able to handle complex legal work and have an enthusiasm for business development and growth strategy. This is also a challenging but hugely rewarding role, where you will have the autonomy to define what success looks like for the legal team, and the support you require to deliver on it. You will be reporting to the CFO but work closely with our CRO and CEO.

Minimum qualifications
Qualified lawyer with at least 10+ years of legal practice (either at a law firm or in-house for a reputable company)
American commercial / contract law experience,
Experience in SaaS companies
High level of integrity paired with excellent judgment, supported by a point of view that is thought out and communicated well in writing and speaking
Self-starter with a desire and comfortability working in a fast-paced start-up environment
Ability to balance legal and commercial interests and to advise accordingly
Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and lead
Fluent in English, additional languages is a plus


Nice to have
Corporate / company law experience
Digital contract management experience
Experience of running complex legal deals (investments, merger/acquisitions and partnership arrangements)
Data protection experience (GDPR and E-privacy) 



Your main responsibilities
Reviewing all commercial contracts, red-lining
Generating and maintaining agreements, contract management systems and other IT solutions
Help our Sales teams all around the world.
Being the point of contact with external legal counsel if needed
Staying up-to-date on relevant industry, commercial, privacy and employment laws and regulations
