Position: Legal Counsel
Unit description
IPR Legal Affairs is a sub-unit within Group Function Legal Affairs & Compliance that supports Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing unit and protects and safeguards the Ericsson Brand.
The IPR & Licensing unit is committed to advancing technology and promoting innovation within the industry, creating opportunities for established companies as well as new enterprises. Ericsson has one of the strongest patent portfolios in the industry, more than 100 license agreements in place with the largest brand names in the ICT industry and recognizes a licensing net revenue of ~$1b. Patent licensing forms a key part of our global business.
 Job Summary:
Are you interested in patents and technology and searching for new exiting challenges? Do you want to be part of a highly energized and motivated team working in a truly global environment?? We are looking for a team-player to strengthen our group of highly skilled lawyers supporting Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing unit.
Responsibilities:
As part of the IPR Legal Affairs team, you will combine your legal competence with a very good business understanding to independently provide high quality and highly efficient legal support to different teams within IPR & Licensing as well as other parts of Ericsson. This includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating patent license agreements and other legal documents.
As an inhouse Legal Counsel you will of course, with high integrity, support compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies and directives as well as monitor, follow-up on and inform about relevant new or changed legislation. You will also help improve the know-how, quality and effectiveness of this team by working with templates and other tools. You will report to Head of IPR Legal Affairs and be based in Kista, Stockholm, but you will work in a global environment.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
• Education: Master of Law or equivalent
• 5-7 years of experience as a business lawyer, preferably in the field of Intellectual Property Rights
• Previous experience in negotiating complex agreements
• Interest in technology and patents
• Good business knowledge/understanding
• Fluency in English
• Good negotiation skills.
• Good networking ability and social skills, as well as cultural awareness.
• High level of integrity
