The job
Our legal team works closely together with the business and is determined to play its part in the Sandvik Shift Strategy. We’re further responsible for empowering the business to take informed and balanced decisions across all legal disciplines, by providing qualitative legal advice and proactively assessing and mitigating key risks of our business in line with the Sandvik Way. This requires accuracy, a strong ethical compass and a curios business mind. Our work spans across many legal disciplines as we aim to merge stakeholder expectations with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. To be more specific, you manage a variety of commercial agreements, negotiations, legal documents, correspondence and governance, and you support our business with legal training, processes and tools. You also contribute with your legal skills and input in M&As and investments, which is a key target for our Business Area. Looking ahead there are many more interesting tasks and projects for you as we develop and grow our business in other vital areas such as the digital space and AI.

You report to our Vice President and Business Area General Counsel and are located at our headquarters in Svedala. Some global travel will also be included in your job from time to time.

Your character
You hold a Swedish Law degree (Jur. Kand) and at least three years’ work experience from a reputable business law firm or within a corporate in-house legal organization. You’ve got both the confidence and ability to act independently and are very interested in deepening your knowledge of our market and the legal landscape that we’re facing. Experience within M&As and other cross border transactions, commercial agreements and litigations, general corporate law, along with IP and digitalization are advantageous. Any previous contact with legal matters connected to R&D and sourcing, as well as experience from industrial sectors - such as technology, mechanical or electrical engineering - is another merit. Working and instructing legal counsels around the globe is part of your role, and you need excellent communication skills in English, while knowledge of Swedish is beneficial.

With a practical, structured and detailed mindset, you’re able to prioritize and multitask and you have what it takes to move forward and get things done.
