We are looking for Legal Counsel. A collaborative, enthusiastic, iconic person to take care of a wide range of contentious issues and relevant regulatory areas in jurisdictions worldwide. The key objective of the Legal team is to enable Hedvig to operate and scale with high confidence in legal and regulatory matters. It would help if you turned legal challenges into key business enablers by being proactive one step ahead of our growing business.
As Legal Counsel, you will handle all types of legal matters arising in Hedvig’s day-to-day work. You will also support the implementation and management of our legal and compliance program. Maybe you just graduated, perhaps you have a couple of years of experience, or perhaps you are pretty seasoned in Legal; we want to talk to you.
What about the role?
Provide legal support to various parts of the organization
Draft internal guidelines and policies/standards
Support internal processes operated by the legal team
Draft and review contracts
Support in data privacy and GDPR related matters
What about you?
Passionate about learning new things and turning complex legal matters into understandable actions
Comfortable with changes and the challenges of being a part of a fast-paced organization
A law degree and (maybe) a few years of experience working at a law firm and/or in-house legal department
Solid interest in the fintech/insurtech industry and a willingness to learn rather than focus on a specific area of law
Ability to work independently while building relationships with the entire Hedvig team
Simple communication approach to be able to explain legal concepts to our team
Excellent Swedish and English language skills.
