Right now, we’re looking for an agile, networking and organized doer to join us as Legal Counsel. Your mission
Our legal team works closely together with the business and is determined to play its part in the Sandvik Shift Strategy. We’re further responsible for empowering the business to take informed and balanced decisions across all legal disciplines, by providing qualitative legal advice and proactively assessing and mitigating key risks of our business in line with the Sandvik Way. This requires accuracy, a strong ethical compass and a curious business mind. Our work spans across many legal disciplines as we aim to merge stakeholder expectations with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. To be more specific, you manage a variety of commercial agreements, negotiations, legal documents, correspondence and governance and you support our business with legal training, processes and tools.

You report directly to the Business Area Segment General Counsel. This role is preferably located at our Stockholm office “Gasverket”, in Norra Djurgårdsstaden. Travel between our sites and some additional international travel is a natural part of the job.

Your character
You hold a Swedish Law degree (Jur Kand) and at least a few years’ work experience from a reputable business law firm or within a corporate in-house legal organization. You’ve got both the confidence and ability to act independently and are very interested in deepening your knowledge of our market and the legal landscape that we’re facing. Experience within legal aspects of digitalization is advantageous. You need excellent communication skills in English, while knowledge of Swedish is beneficial.
As a person, you easily adapt to different situations and have a genuine service attitude. You enjoy a setting where new perspectives and innovation are appreciated, and you take initiatives and search for improvements. With a practical, structured and detailed mindset, you’re able to prioritize and multitask and you have what it takes to move forward and get things done. To gain trust is key in your job, and you build strong relations and offer legal advice based on sound judgment and thorough business understanding.
