We’ve just hit a growth spurt and are on the lookout for a Legal Counsel Internationalization to join our motley crew of curious, growth minded and all around nice people.

About the role
We are looking for a Legal Counsel New Markets to manage legal matters related to Zimpler’s most prioritised workstream: our international expansion. In this role you will be in the heart of things and work closely with our new markets team as we expand our business to markets across the globe.

You will be in a unique position to learn the ins and outs of our business and it is key that you are curious and naturally take interest in a broad range of things. You will be an early member of Zimpler’s legal team and will constitute a fundamental building block in a growing team and company. We want innovation to be in the heart of Zimpler and this means the legal team as well, why we are looking for people who love solving problems, challenging how things are done and being on the forefront of technical development.

This is not a regular inhouse counsel gig, it’s an opportunity to be part of building an innovative company in an industry that is being reimagined and disrupted as we speak, and it’s key that you are excited and energised by the thought of being part of that journey.

Things you’ll be responsible for
- Advising the organization in our international expansion and being the legal team’s point of contact in the new markets work stream.
- Managing the internationalization project from a legal perspective, making sure that key stakeholders within the legal team and externally are consulted as needed.
- Taking lead on financial regulatory matters, such as analyzing license requirements and preparing license applications.
- Coordinating with local counsel, working closely with people in Sweden and internationally.

- Approachable and adaptable to ensure a great cross-functional collaboration in an international setting.
- Leading projects and being proactive and curious with an ability to take ownership and deliver strong results in a timely manner.
- Understanding financial regulatory frameworks in an international setting and being able to apply requirements to Zimpler’s operations in a business minded manner.
- Being a team player and flexible mindset and good at prioritising conflicting demands.


And you are definitely
- Fluent in Swedish and English
- Strong communicator with integrity
- A university graduate from a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience from a top tier business law-firm, startup, bank or a bigger corporation, preferably a mix.
