Legal Counsel (Operational IP), Range Development

The Legal Counsel has a continuing responsibility to review, maintain and sustain the legal aspects of the Range Development business within Range & Supply, with focus on operational IP matters. Furthermore, the Legal Counsel has a continuing responsibility to support the business in order to secure the rights and assess the obligations in order to reduce exposure to legal risks in connection with Range Development. This includes responsibility to support in legal matters to the management of Range Development.

Assignment
- Monitor and secure the legal aspects of Range Development related matters and give day to day assistance on legal matters to Range Development and operations within contract management, intellectual property rights, media and communication, relationship management and dispute resolution relating to IP and Infringement matters.
- Support the Legal Strategy and thereto connected goals.
- Ensure and maintain a good cooperation with and between core areas, group functions and other function/ areas.
- Provide advice to relevant stakeholders on opportunities to optimise their legal position in order to reduce exposure to risks and optimise opportunities.
- Provide education to relevant stakeholders in the area of IP laws and regulations relevant for Range Development.
- Keep updated in relevant international and local legal developments, including changes in international, domestic and case laws and regulations.
- Participate as member in relevant committees, steering groups, projects or other bodies.

You have completed a degree in law with excellent results. You probably have 5-10 years of relevant professional experience as an in-house legal counsel or lawyer in an international legal or business environment, focusing on operational IP matters. You have a solid understanding of legal systems, (or have the ability to acquire), including IP litigation procedures, in countries where IKEA conducts business and operations. You have a sound understanding and a sincere interest in business and Intellectual Property Right and you are passionate about contributing with you knowledge to drive the business and optimise our performance.
