Saab Group Legal Affairs is looking for a Legal Counsel to Business Area Surveillance, based in Järfälla.



Saab is a company listed on the Stockholm stock exchange with Investor and associated companies as the main owner. Business Area Surveillance designs, develops, markets and sells advanced radar, command and control, electronic warfare and cyber security systems to the Swedish Armed Forces and other customers worldwide. Surveillance is the most international business area at Saab with operational presence in the US, Australia, South Africa, the UAE and Germany. In Sweden, Surveillance has operations in Järfälla, Luleå and Gothenburg.



Your role

As legal counsel for Business Area Surveillance, you will work in an exciting, complex and global environment with challenging tasks and responsibilities. You will be responsible for handling legal affairs and to provide legal advice and support, including i.a.

* drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
* participating in larger projects including bid preparation
* providing legal support and advice to business stakeholders regarding i.a. commercial law, business structures, disputes, company law, intellectual property matters, competition law and compliance.



You will work with matters from all business units and functions in Surveillance, but emphasis will be on the business units located in Järfälla and in particular on the newly established Cyber Security business unit. It is also the expectation that the new legal counsel will assume a specific responsibility for purchasing related matters for Surveillance. This position requires travelling in Sweden and internationally.

We believe that you have

Required skills:

* A Swedish law degree (jur kand)
* At least five years of experience from working as a legal counsel in an international company or as a commercial lawyer in a well reputed major law firm.
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written



Desired skills:

* International experience;
* [In depth] Knowledge and experience from software / IP licensing, procurement law competition law;
* Experience from working with complex international delivery agreements;



What you will be a part of



You will be part of a legal team working within the function Surveillance Legal and you will report to the Head of Legal, Business Area Surveillance. Surveillance Legal is a part of Surveillance management and also a part of Group Legal Affairs, which is headed by the General Counsel and is organized in different functions (one for each business area, Ethics and Compliance, Corporate Export Compliance, Market Network Management etc.) with twenty experienced legal counsels located on five different sites in Sweden and on several sites abroad.
