Job Description
We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team at the Head Office in Stockholm, Sweden. This is an opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in working with regulatory and compliance matters in the world of retail and fashion. We believe that you have experience in working with the areas connected to international e-commerce including, primarily, consumer law, marketing, sales and pricing regulations, but also product safety, product compliance, competition law and trade regulations. Experience from working with terms & conditions (sales/competitions/loyalty programs etc.), providing answers to questions and demands from different authorities, organizations and customers is also of interest. H&M is a large and exciting organization with a great culture, and you will be working with dedicated and talented colleagues, providing advice and support relating to legal aspects of e-commerce to the H&M group’s brands and different functions globally.
As Legal Counsel with the Regulatory and Compliance team, you will:
Provide expertise and support for the legal areas across H&M. Group functions, brands, regions and markets, including risk identification and mitigation.
Provide advice and supporting documentation.
Take an active part in decision-making related to legal and commercial matters, to ensure compliance and the best business result possible.
Contribute to internal knowledge development and knowledge transfer within the H&M Group, including legal processes, creating templates and best practice.
Collaborate with all other teams at H&M Group Legal, in order to provide comprehensive legal support to the H&M Group.
Support and answer the questions/requirements of authorities/organizations/customers to provide the best relationship and customer offer.

As a Legal Counsel in the Regulatory & Compliance Team, you will belong to a team within the Group Legal function, a core part of the H&M Group. The team currently consists of four people, which provides legal support to the H&M Group. You will support and participate internally and externally regarding H&M Group’s global business.
This is a Full-time position with start date as soon as possible.
You will report to the Manager of Regulatory & Compliance.
Qualifications
In addition to matching the personal profile, we seek the following qualifications:
A university law degree.
At least 3+ years relevant work experience from a company or law firm, preferably in an international setting.
Experience predominately in e-commerce and consumer law.
The ability to evaluate business opportunities and risks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (professional English required).
