We now have an opening in the General Contracts group at the Stockholm Head Office. The General Contracts group is a team of 8 within the H&M Group Legal function, which provides legal support in relation to purchasing, production, marketplaces, franchising, logistics, marketing, payment services and sustainability, just to name a few. The position we are now seeking to fill, will focus on legal support to the marketing and communications functions of our individual brands.
This is a full-time temporary position for 1 year, with the potential of extension.
The start date is as soon as possible and you will report to the Manager of the General Contracts Group.
Job Description
In this role you will:
Be a strategic partner to our marketing and communications functions, focusing on drafting and negotiating agreements with a wide variety of counterparts. Emphasis will be on marketing law and IP law. More specifically, you will be drafting and negotiating talent, model, photographer, influencer, stylist, production and collaboration agreements, as well as agreements with PR and media agencies. Your work will also include providing legal advice in different types of marketing related matters such as social media marketing, entertainment law and music rights.
Have the opportunity to advise on a wide range of other legal matters also supported by the General Contracts group, which will allow for you to expand and deepen your commercial legal knowledge in an international business setting.
Contribute to internal knowledge development and transfer within the H&M Group, including creating and presenting processes, templates, toolkits and best practice.
Collaborate with the other teams at H&M Group Legal, in order to provide comprehensive legal support to the company.

Qualifications
We expect you to have a true interest in the contractual side of marketing, and a mindset which thrives in a context where both speed and accuracy are crucial. You are a social and positive person with drive and integrity, who strongly believes in the benefits of collaboration. You are comfortable in any negotiation setting and you are able to discuss legal matters with beginners, as well as with experienced professionals. You enjoy independent legal work, while having a supportive team of colleagues around you – colleagues who cannot wait to introduce you to the world of H&M!
In addition to matching the personal profile, we seek the following qualifications:
A university law degree.
At least 2 years’ work experience involving marketing related commercial contracts and intellectual property, law with a company or law firm in an international setting.
A strong interest in and understanding of social media marketing, entertainment law and music rights.
Experience in general commercial contract law, including drafting and negotiating agreements.
Understanding of the basic financial aspects of a business deal and the ability to assess opportunities and risks related thereto.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (professional English required).
