This role has responsibility for Legal & Compliance for Europe Central East & East. The role works as a key member of the Management team for the Sales Area and provides key advice and counsel to their business colleagues.

* Manage all legal and compliance matters for Volvo Trucks Sales Area ECE: The main areas for Sales Area ECE lie in sales-, distribution- and compliance matters, including anti-corruption, anti-trust, export control and sanctions, and data privacy.
* Assess and advise on Sales Area’s legal risks and deliver relevant and engaging legal training.
* Provide legal support in drafting and negotiating contracts for sales and marketing of products and services, acquisitions & divestments, among others. 
* Manage relationships with outside legal service providers.



* Ideally, this role will also be the Export Control & Sanctions subject matter expert for Volvo Trucks: Export Control Liaison between Volvo Trucks and Group Compliance.
* Alongside the Legal Operations, Strategy & Compliance team within Volvo Trucks, support implementation of the Volvo Groups export control and sanctions compliance program to Volvo Trucks entities globally. 
* Provide guidance and expert support to Volvo Trucks entities in cooperation with responsible legal counsel for the relevant sales area or market.
* Be involved in training and communication activities to relevant business stakeholders and maintain effective reporting procedures. 



* There is also potential for this role to support broader Volvo Trucks operations through various management teams and committees, or specific projects: For example, this role might work with the teams who develop and sell Volvo Trucks’ Repair and Maintenance contracts and digital service offers.

* Coaching leaders in the VT business in compliance areas 
* Indirect leadership (due to the dotted line to this role from legal counsels in Poland and Kazakhstan
