For our next-gen, AAA, 3rd Person Co-Op Shooter project, we are looking for a Level Designer to join the studio and create impressive and immersive (procedurally generated) worlds for our players to explore. Your impact on the overall gameplay is massive - just by understanding how to convey information and player interactions through gameplay.
Your contribution
As a level designer, your main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Create amazing worlds and memorable game experiences;
- Build and design level and world content;
- Script game objectives and tweak gameplay mechanics;
- Coordinate procedural generation of worlds from a design and technical perspective;
Our requirements
- Good understanding of game design fundamentals and what makes worlds impressive but also interesting to explore;
- Advanced understanding of practical level design in modern engines like Unreal, Unity or similar.
- Scripting experience, preferably non-visual scripting like LUA, json, XML, etc.
Bonus Qualifications
- You have industry experience with level or game design where you have had ownership of design areas;
- You have shipped one or more AAA-title(s);
- Background in modding
Our project
We are working on a 3rd person shooter featuring next-gen graphics, innovative co-op and agency for the community to alter the course of the game. This AAA game will share the satirical humor that fans of our previous games know and love.
Practical information
Scope: Full-time, 40 hours per week. We offer permanent employment and relocation aid for the right candidate.
