We offer
We are looking for a licenced medical oncologist/clinical oncologist/radiation oncologist to join our team at the oncology clinic at Kalmar Hospital in Kalmar County, Sweden.

Oncology is a strongly growing specialty thanks to the fact that we are continuously receiving new treatment options for our patients. The health care system focuses on equal care for everyone and we are able to provide cancer care with, international measures, very good results. The role as oncologist involves various work such as medical treatment and radiotherapy as well as multidisciplinary work. It´s a very exciting, challenging and stimulating job.

At Kalmar hospital, the oncology clinic offers 22 care places, an oncology department and a radiotherapy department with two linear accelerators and a dose planning CT. We have five care places in a surgery department for round-the-clock care that we are responsible for during the day during the weeks. The job is during daytime, so no on-call duty. We are ten specialist doctors and eight residents’ who work at the clinic. Otherwise, there are nurses (many trained oncology nurses), medical secretaries and radiation physicist, in total we are roughly 80 employees at the oncology clinic.

English and Swedish language skills (B2-level)

Terms of employment

Before moving to Sweden you need to reach B2 level in the Swedish language. Your license as a doctor needs to be recognized by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/en/licence-application/

We provide further language studies in Swedish to reach the C1 level. If the trial period will be proved satisfactory and you demonstrate required skills recognized by Region Kalmar, it will automatically turn into a permanent position.  

All contracts follow local and national collective agreements. Salary is set individually depending on your qualification and experience.
