The Quality Control team at Northvolt Ett, Skellefteå (Sweden) is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and hardworking LIMS Specialist with laboratory background to join their team. You will be working on creating, implementing and maintaining Nortvholt’s new LIMS system that will cover both process and incoming quality control inspections. You will be part of a young, dynamic and friendly team! You will be trained to independently create test and deploy new analysis and features for the new LIMS system. You will also learn about the manufacturing process of battery materials and cells and gain knowledge and experience as well as be involved in troubleshooting/maintenance of the system. We believe you have studied computer science, or have a passion for technology and a good understanding of computers, and databases and have previous experience working in a laboratory. You and are interested in a hands-on career in an quality control laboratory information management system as well as a person that are curious about the world of quality.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create new content based on work instructions for the work.
Be able to troubleshoot basic software/hardware problems; utilizing the help of senior personnel for more major issues.
Perform testing with and without users, and report data/results from these tests as instructed.
Execute content improvement plans for the different measurements and be able to write standard procedure operations.

Skills & Requirements
Qualifications/education/experience
Bachelor´s degree (or technical school degree) in a technical field.
Familiarity with laboratory processes and procedures. Ideally, this should be from having worked within a laboratory and/or from experience as the System Specialist for a laboratory software application such as a LIMS, ELN or Chromatography Data System (CDS) or similar.
Basic familiarity with industry regulatory requirements as applied to the laboratory, e.g. Good Laboratory/Clinical/Manufacturing Practice.
Working knowledge of databases, ideally relational databases. Knowledge in Azure SQL Server and SQL (Structured Query Language will be an big advantage).
Basic knowledge of programming (e.g. Visual Basic/VBA) will be an advantage, but not essential. However, developing basic programming skills should be considered essential in order to make the most effective contribution as LIMS Specialist.
Proficiency in Excel and also how to structure data in general.
Previous experience in program implementation and commissioning will also be an advantage.
Previous experience in program support and basic trouble shooting will also be an advantage.
Attention to details and focus on the end product is important in this role to create a good product with high end quality at a fast pace.
The LIMS Specialist will also be required to sometime Project Manage some LIMS implementations. In this situation, it is strongly desirable that the LIMS Specialist is able to effectively communicate, and when required be assertive with all parties involved in the implementation as well as applying basic commercial awareness.
Good written and verbal communication skills. The LIMS Specialist will be required to actively participate in the LIMS implementations and this will require gathering and interpreting user requirements by effectively interacting with end-users in the laboratory, production, QA and IT personnel. The LIMS Specialist will be one of the main technical contacts with LabWare and should be able to effectively describe technical requirements and problems. In highly regulated environments, the LIMS Specialist will also be involved in preparing high-quality documentation to support the implementation and on-going support of the LIMS system.
Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma and 5S concepts, as well as SPC, FMEA, Quality troubleshooting tools and problem-solving methodology is a plus.
Curious, technically educated and preferably with a strong business background.
