About this role:
PDU Cloud RAN is creating a cloud-native Radio Access Network (RAN) product offering with a commercial solution and customer deployment during 2022.
We are looking for a Line Manager who thrives in a cloud native environment, with the skills to take a line management role within the Application Support services unit in Cloud RAN. As part of the Cloud Infrastructure Leadership Team, you assure we have the right architecture, implementation and quality in our solution design. In this role you will have ample opportunities to lead, learn, grow, challenge yourself and your colleagues to stretch beyond expectations and setting new benchmarks for software development.
As a Line Manager you will;
Develop competent teams for cloud native R&D, using tools and training developed by other organisations where appropriate
Build a unit with E2E development teams delivering microservices in the Application Support Services domain; The microservice teams will have a product responsibility covering all aspects from architecture/systems through to release through CI/CD
Work to improve software flow and the overall developer experience
Lead your teams and peers in the wider Cloud RAN organization on the journey to become good cloud citizens.
Support a culture of quality first and continuous improvement and learning
You will be encouraged to work closely with the other PDGs in PDU Cloud RAN, our Market Areas, Customer Units and external partners as well as Ericsson’s lead customers as it relates to this domain.
To be successful in this role you...
Have Domain competence in areas relating to cloud architecture, Kubernetes, Software Flow, continuous integration, container orchestration
Drive the industry’s perception of Ericsson’s leadership in cloud native technologies and Cloud RAN solutions
Have hands-on experience as leader or developer in cloud native application Deployment, Upgrade and Test on Kubernetes
Promote industry leading practices and have competence in HCP environments such as Google, Azure, AWS
Have a passion for identifying new ways of working (Lean, Agile & Beyond), organizing, and driving R&D efficiency
Grasp market development and understand customer and competitor situations.
Have proven team building capabilities to evolve an exciting and sustainable workplace
