Line Manager for R&D General Turning

Product management and product development within the area of turning are the responsibility of product unit Turning, within Sandvik Coromant Management and the R&D function. We proactively develop and manage the introduction of Sandvik Coromant's turning offerings and deliver complete solutions to our customers, in order to develop both market leading position, as well as ours. We are now looking for an experienced Line Manager for R&D General Turning, with leadership abilities suited for both engineering and people management. The location for this position is Sandviken.

Key performance areas
As Line Manager you are responsible for the application area of turning with the aim of maintaining Sandvik Coromant's leading position in the field. You lead the product group's development activities in the areas of knowledge, products and business, and you have the overall responsibility for HR, objectives, economy, investments, quality assurance, safety and the working environment. The position includes developing employees and teams and acting as a leader in accordance with our leadership model; meaning realizing synergies and delivering results, by constantly striving to exceed customer expectations, and acting on business priorities. Accordingly, you conduct improvements and demonstrate self-awareness. Some travel is included in this position.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Product Development, Design, Production Engineering or other similar field, or who has obtained the same knowledge in another way. You have a proven track record from a leading role as a project manager or manager, and experience from the cutting tools area is advantageous. You need good skills in English, in both writing and speaking, while knowledge of Swedish is a plus.

You act with integrity and have both the interest and the ability to lead and motivate people in a virtual and global organization. You easily build trust, are an excellent networker with good understanding of stakeholder needs, and have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and outside partners at all levels.
