Line Manager IT Methods & Tools

Saab Kockums has entered an exciting change journey not least within the IT area where we are transforming our ways of working to support ever increasing business needs. We are now looking for you who want to be instrumental in leading people and services in our IT-environment as Line Manager for our IT-staff in Malmö as well contribute operationally as IT-Object Leader for our ERP environment!

Your role

You will lead the team in Malmö within our IT Methods and Tools (IM&T) organization and be part of the IT Leadership Team with operations in both Malmö and Karlskrona. You will also be taking on and driving operational tasks and internal projects close to the IT, Methods and Tools areas as IT-Object Leader for ERP in line with the pm3 governance. Here you will be interacting closely with our Business Area and Business Units senior managers.


The main tasks are:

* Line Manager with responsibility to lead and coach the IM&T team in Malmö including staff and consultants.
* Drive and lead pm3 governance with coworkers and surrounding organization with focus on ERP-systems as IT-Object Leader (IOL).
* Drive and improve process efficiency through methods and tools.
* Together with the business drive ways of working within IT-tools and services to support development and production of our products such as submarines and surface ships.
* Drive and execute assigned operational tasks and internal projects.
* Handle personnel related matters including recruiting, target setting and follow-up, salary reviews, budgeting etc.


As Line Manager of the IM&T Malmö department, you will report to the Head of IM&T and be a member of its management team. A few business travels per month, mostly between Malmö and Karlskrona, is part of the job.


Your profile

We are looking for you who are an operative team player with a passion for leading change. You have a good sense of producing and maintaining qualitative and robust solutions that benefits the business with main focus on ERP. In order to be successful in this role you need to have a strong interest in people, leadership and IT-technology with the ability to get people on board as well as contributing operationally to the team's success. High communication skills, strong execution and a fine-tuned balance of collaboration and compromising when needed is key! Excellent skills in analyzing information and problem solving is also much needed.



Required skills:

* University education (M.Sc) in Information Technology or equal proven experience through work life
* Proven experience from ERP-area such as system development, operations and product management
* Relevant IT knowledge including hardware, software, network, infrastructure, and security including Cyber-security
* Considerable knowledge of IT operations and support driven by business demand, experience from pm3 governance is a plus
* Experience of leading teams in change
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written

Desired skills:

* At least a few years of relevant experience from above mentioned work tasks
* Experience form defense, shipyard or offshore industry
* Experience from digitalized product development/product management
* Considerable knowledge in project management
* Driving license B


This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

IM&T is Saab Kockums central IT department, which in addition to the traditional IT operations, also drives all R&D and ERP solutions.
