We are looking for a Line Planner Construction & Commissioning for HVDC to act as the center of expertise for planning and scheduling for Construction & Commissioning within the Line Planning organization. The Line Planner Construction & Commissioning will ensure that best execution practices are applied in tenders and project and will actively contribute to the planification of the activity within the Construction & Commissioning group. He will also give operational support to the project planners on an ad-hoc basis. This is a role with many interfaces and interesting work tasks. Your responsibilities
The Line Planner Construction & Commissioning develops specific expertise in planning and execution of the line organization’s scope in EPC HVDC deliveries.
Establish accurate scheduling methods and best execution practices and ensure that this is reflected in Type Schedules and applied in Overall Project Schedules. Conduct benchmarking across similar organizations.
Analyze requirements and ensure that essential work activities are identified, are properly linked, have realistic durations and are resource loaded to serve as the project schedule template for the line organization’s scope.
Generate a constrained resource plan for the Construction & Commissioning group to meet overall demand and assist Construction & Commissioning Manager in effective resource management and decision making.
Assist Sub Project Manager in tenders and start of projects to ensure that best planning and execution practice is applied.
Support Construction & Commissioning Managers in planning methodology and on understanding and analyzing schedule progress and reports.
Resource allocation and prioritization decisions. The Line Planner compiles information, analyzes and makes recommendations in formats that assist effective management and decision making.
Based on combined demand plans from tenders, project schedules and other activities, develop a detailed manning plan for resources within the Construction & Commissioning organization.
Work with Line Manager to align resource capacity with project demands.
Develop a framework and templates to be used by the line organization’s detailed execution planning. The framework should support the Sub Project Manager to plan, monitor and control the detailed day-to-day activities needed to fulfill project goals.
Assist Sub Project Managers in applying the framework in execution projects.
Your background
You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
Knowledge and experience of Construction & Commissioning, preferably within HVDC technology.
You are structured, flexible and hold great qualifications in project management.
You have great skills in planning and controlling a time schedule and a budget.
You have genuine technical interest and are always open to develop your skills within other fields.
Knowledge how to use Microsoft’s Office suite of software, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Swedish is desirable.
You are a dynamic and social person who enjoys working with people from various business areas and parts of world.
