Get an idea of the role

You will be part of the IT Core Systems team , which today consists of six employees where the main responsibility is servers running Linux and OpenShift. The server environment today consists of around 1000 servers distributed on Linux and Windows. Virtual servers run on a VMware platform with associated SAN solution. Part of our load today is in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and we have rapidly increased the use of Red Hat Openshift (Kubernetes) as an operating platform.

Main duties are:


• Daily support to the organization in the form of second/third line
• Installation and maintenance of applications and servers, as well as managing readiness according to rolling schedule and 3rd line support cases
• Continuous contact with actors in the business
• Troubleshooting in logs, user account management, certificate management
• Deployment of new applications and versions of existing applications

On a personal level 

We see that you have experience with Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. You should also know what Tomcat, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elastic, MongoDB, Redis and Docker are. You should be able to read scripts written in Bash and also be able to write your own ones. You should also keep track of versioning with git, as we use it in our daily operations.

We want you to have a sound safety mindset. You don't have to be an expert in all the applications and systems we use but we are happy to teach you! You are driven and curious about new technology and that you dare to come up with new ideas. We would like you to have a burning interest in technology where Linux and open source are close to your heart.
