We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Ubuntu Linux Client Specialist to join our Workplace and Collaboration team. The team is a multicultural team of IT professionals located in various countries in Europe.

What you’ll be doing? 

You will be working with everything that touches collaboration as well as Active Directory and other cloud solutions. You will be the interface between the business, the technical solution and implementation and you will also be working closely with architects in End User Services. You will be highly involved in projects for both improvements and implementation of new features. If there is an incident, you will be part of solving that as smoothly as possible. 

 

Typical Day To Day Tasks 

* Setting up new Ubuntu Linux clients, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing existing clients within our organization 

* Configuring and optimizing Ubuntu Linux clients for performance and security 
* Implementing Ansible automation for configuration management 
* Installing and maintaining Linux-based applications 
* Providing technical support for Ubuntu Linux clients to internal and external clients 
* Participating in the planning and implementation of IT projects 

* Keeping up to date with the latest developments in Ubuntu Linux technology and Ansible 
* Collaborating with a multicultural team of IT professionals located in various countries 
* Communicate with the users to understand the end users need in this area

We would like you to have:   

* Strong experience working with Ubuntu Linux clients 
* Solid understanding of Linux system administration, networking, and security 
* Experience with Ubuntu desktop 
* Experience with Ansible automation 
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English 
* Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
