Linux System Administrator at Mullvad VPN // Gothenburg

The job

You will be part of the Infrastructure team. We maintain the platform and Operating System level for all of our servers.

As a System Administrator you will help with the upkeep, upgrading, automation and scalability of our teams critical internal services. We maintain Linux servers via SSH that provide alerting, performance metrics, web services, DNS, databases and build environments for CI/CD but also for hypervisors that provide virtual testing environments.

The Infrastructure Team work primarily with Ansible and CI/CD workflows to add features and improve server deployment strategies for all our server types. For this role you will own the supporting internal infrastructure to help us make all that happen. A reasonable exposure with Configuration Management tools (specifically Ansible) would be greatly beneficial.

About you

Required: You have a solid and proven background working with Linux, both on bare metal (for production usage) and VM clusters (for testing environments) and backup strategies

Required: You have worked with maintaining Linux servers along with upgrading and scaling them.

Required: You have fluency in English.

Ideal: Have experience working with or alongside Ansible for Ubuntu Linux server configuration management.

Ideal: You have a keen interest in Infrastructure as Code and automation.

Note: This is an on-site position in our office in Gothenburg, Sweden. We are flexible to remote work in some cases, but because this position will sometimes require hands-on work with testing hardware in our office, being located within commuting distance is a hard requirement.
