We are Fatshark
We are an independent Swedish game development studio located in Södermalm, Stockholm. With about 120 experienced and skilled employees we have worked as contractors for a number of AAA projects, as well as developed titles with publishers and independently for both consoles and PC. Our most recent game is the critically acclaimed title Warhammer: Vermintide 2. We tackle every project, genre and setting with enthusiasm, professionalism and a cup of coffee.
Role Description
The Live Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight, development and success of the live features or services for our games. You will work closely with the Projects to help with developing all aspects of game creation, and building towards games as a service. Your responsibilities will primarily be focused on managing and help build our Live operations team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Build a live ops team (integrate existing staff, recruit new staff if necessary)
Build the processes, structure for live ops at Fatshark. Be an integral part of creating this function and evolving it with time.
Lead & manage the live ops team (build team spirit, make live ops great again, enthuse the team); including direct reports and “project assignments” from other craft teams
Staffing (forward planning)
Capture existing know-how in the building and build on this to continuously evolve our live ops service and processes; document and experiment; quality management.
Lead & manage day-to-day of the live product (patches, events, fixes, updates); create plans for live games.
Liaise with other stakeholders, build alliances and a common cause
Liaise with project & creative leadership to agree on product plans for active and future live products.
Data analysis for live ops
Requirements
3+ years of experience in a Producer or Product owner position in games
Experience with live services
Good manager & leader
Excellent communication skills
Experience in releasing and maintaining a live service software product
Experience in designing and implementing processes and structure in organizations and projects
Interest in data-informed decision making
Passionate gamer, particularly interested in online multiplayer games
Passionate about providing a great experience to the players of our games; taking pride in providing excellent service
Able to handle varied workload including occasional “fire fighting” and odd working hours
Able to juggle multiple concurrent work streams and issues
English language
