Loads Engineer

SeaTwirl is a Swedish energy-tech company within offshore wind power with the vision to become a leading supplier of floating wind turbines. SeaTwirl’s unique floating vertical-axis wind turbine has a low center of gravity which means it uses less steel for the floater than conventional floating solutions. The ambition is also to be able to use more local supply-chains, to have lower maintenance costs, larger rotating mass, lower blade erosion, and to be able to place the turbines more tightly together, which contributes to a better economy for the wind farm. The company’s first prototype was installed in the sea in 2015. Development is now ongoing for future floating wind turbines.

We are now looking for our next colleague to join us in our office at Lilla Bommen, Gothenburg.

The position
In this role you will be responsible for running simulations with aero-hydro-servo-elastic codes for FVAWT in relevant software, perform pre-process and post-process for simulations and adjust control features to increase performance of the system.

We are looking for you who have a higher technical education.

Requirements

-
M.Sc. in relevant field, preferably master thesis in relation to behaviour of floating structures or wind turbines

- Work experience within the field of floating structures, floating wind, or wind turbine

- Fluent in English
