About the assignment
We are now looking for a Local Process Leader (LPL) who will lead the development of the battery pack assembly process. You will lead the local process development network for battery pack assembly as well for Manufacturing Deliveries in programs. Your main responsibility will be to develop the best in class battery pack assembly process within a global network of Local process leaders headed by a Global process leader. You’ll act as a local program manager for projects related to battery pack assembly process. Other tasks are to participate in long term strategic development of area layouts, and the development over time towards vision. The right candidate will, with strong business acumen, be responsible and coordinating to secure all program aspects within own area, such as layout, best process, finance follow up, material handling, kitting area’s, flows, etc. You’ll apply process design as a natural way of working.
About you
Your background is a technical bachelor’s degree and/or at least +5 years of relevant experience. You are a leader with developed communications skills and have knowledge of Volvo car plants production and/or logistic processes. You need to have strong project management skills as well as strong financial acumen, since you will be managing investments for your area. If your experience consists of knowledge within Design for Manufacturing, Logistics, Value Stream Mapping, LEAN and/or agile way of working, it is meritorious for the position.
We are looking for a candidate who has a global and strategic mindset and a challenging attitude in a cross functional and global environment. To fully enjoy the position you need extensive collaboration, networking and argumentation skills but also deep knowledge in process design.
The right candidate is highly skilled in process design and speaks English fluently.
