As Local PG Manager - Traction Motors, you will be responsible for the Profit and Loss for the traction motor unit in Västerås Sweden consisting of ~ 70 employees. It will be your mission to develop the unit with focus on quality as well as continued profitability.
In this role you will be reporting to Division Hub Manager- Europe and will be accountable for the operation according to ABB Way, driving the business targets by aligning and executing strategies, empowering the team and lead the organization governed by our Code of Conduct principles. You are also working across PG and IEC LV Motor Division to create a collaborative environment driven by an outside in thinking and operational excellence perspective.
To be successful in this role you have a strong focus on customer needs, results and quality. You maintain excellent leadership skills and have the ability to communicate and implement change through others.
Your responsibilities
Implements the PG and Division Unit strategy, and ensures business development and profitable growth in defined markets. Provides input to PG and Division Unit strategy.
Ensures development of performance targets in line with PG targets and ensures achievement through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed.
Ensures profitable business growth by aligning sales strategies within the global PG and system sales through ABB Traction.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
Oversees the End-to-End process including production and execution of high quality products, services and processes.
Implements HSE and business compliance standards and regulations in the Country on behalf of the PG. Personally lives the ABB values and Group standards.
Incorporates relevant industrial standards for the business unit and drives operational excellence to assure productivity and quality of products and services provided.
Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
Your background
3+ years experiences and proven record from senior management positions
A background from Railway and/or Automotive industry would be preferred
Experience of lean and production would be preferred
A master´s degree or above, major in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or equal
Proven leadership skills with the ability to set both short and long term priorities, and to obtain full potential of both organization and people
