Ten years ago, in 2011 we embarked on a mission of inspiring every girl to be the hero of her own adventure and changing the game industry for the better with our MMO game Star Stable Online. During the years we have grown into a true entertainment company with our own-produced music, apps, animated series and books that support our vision of a more inclusive gaming environment, as well as the power of sisterhood.
Today we have more than 21 million registered users across our games and apps which are supported in 14 languages in 180 countries. Now we are looking for a communicative and detail-oriented language lover who, with their process-oriented mindset and organizational skills, will ensure that Star Stable Entertainment’s products are available in different markets and languages all around the globe. In this exciting cross-functional role you will work closely with our Localization Manager, external translators and every department in the company on making a great user experience a reality. What you’ll be doing
- Manage translation projects from beginning to end, working closely with external translators/translation companies and internal teams
- Analyze translation scope to establish time estimates and deliveries
- Put together necessary project material
- Prepare files for translation
- Be responsible for all translation requests in the company
- Manage translation processes, make changes and improvements
- Advise internal teams on translation best practices and help them with translation requests
- Create and manage documentation with instructions on how to make translation requests and prepare content for translation
- Update localization style guides and glossaries
- Investigate translation bugs and include relevant teams when needed
- Track and implement translation changes and feedback
What we are looking for
- University degree in one of these fields: translation, linguistics, communication/journalism, literature
- Project management skills
- Experience with CAT tools, preferably memoQ
- Fluency in English and at least one additional language
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Google Workspace
- Knowledge of Jira is a plus
