What’s in it for you?
You will be member of a Flow Team within Supply Chain Engineering at Volvo Cars Body Components (VCBC). Our main purpose is to continuously find, plan, prioritise and implement the best possible material flow within the given area. You will provide early input to upcoming projects and participate in investigations and analyse car project, Capacity Increase Request (CIR), volume mix variation content and industrialise needed flow changes.
What you’ll do
You will have an important role in our transformation journey towards Flow by create and maintain communication within various departments at VCBC, as well as at our customers. Within the team you will have a given area where general tasks amongst others to, coordinate different flow areas in the plant, standardise way of working (procedure/process/equipment) to best practices, define and work towards KPI´s and targets.
Furthermore, you will act as chairman of cross functional teams, contribute in product and process development, handle specific projects, securing actions in the masterplan and defining processes, system requirements and equipment for supply chain yard and warehouse (inventory by purpose). You will work with continuously improvement of your competence and share best practise within the flow teams as well as maintaining continuous dialogue with production engineering to secure the most efficient way of working.
Other tasks that you also will attend to:
* Developing processes, system requirements and equipment for line feeding including creating synchronised flow.
* Developing material façade and interfaces towards the production line
* Defining current and future layout for in plant and yard logistics as well as developing processes for sequencing and kitting stations
Do you fit the profile?
University degree in engineering, preferably Supply Chain Management alongside broad and high experience within Supply Chain. We also think you have high project management skills and launch experience. This role will absolutely suit you if you have excellent interpersonal skills including fluent English in speaking, writing and reading as that will be your working language.
