The role 

Plasman Europe plant in Arendal, Gothenburg, is expanding, and we can guarantee that this job will be challenging, developing and that your footprints will leave your mark in many areas. You will report to the Plant Manager and the Logistic Manager will take on a leadership role in executing tasks and projects in the following key areas:  

Develop a good collaboration with great planning and optimization to run the factory
Ongoing review of an optimized inventory value that is also linked to how the production runs
 Responsibility for analyzing and cost optimizing transport flows
Review of internal logistics and optimization of the use of all areas


Responsibilities: 

Develop and manage the logistics within the factory in Arendal. Be involved in adapting and developing the organization, currently undergoing change with the aim of optimizing roles and functions. You have full budget and people responsibility. As a member of the factory´s management team, you have impact on the results and achievement of the goals for planning and operation, team values.

Production planning for the entire factory in collaboration with production.
Follow-up and reporting the capacity and inventory value to central logistics director
Ensure delivery of materials to the factory
Responsible for goods receipt and internal logistics at the factory
Together with the central logistics director, work to optimize logistics costs in terms of packaging and transport
Ensure communication with both customer and supplier regarding deliveries
IT responsible at the factory, in collaboration with other factories and IT responsible at the head office


The ideal candidate profile: 

You have an academic degree in logistics or supply chain and experience of planning production in several processes within supply chain or logistics. Your expertise is in strategic logistics and lean management, driven by analyzing data and making fact-based decisions. You are an experienced leader who is open minded and responsive and prefer to be a trustful leader. As a person you have an entrepreneurial mindset, a down to earth approach, an independent working behaviour and ability to build positive relationships with different functions and stakeholders in all levels. Your communication skills enables cooperation within all parts of the organization both internally and externally. You are fluent in English and Swedish, verbal and written. We prefer that you have a good knowledge in IT and you thrive in an environment with a combination of strategic issues and hands on problem solving.
